This is a fascinating idea, Mary-Rose.

This is a previous iteration of the FOSIL Cycle, in which I made use of  Screen Beans to add a visual layer of meaning to each of the stages, and which worked very well with that version of the Cycle.

I will put some thought into your idea, and will also look forward to what ideas others might have.
