When planning to collaborate with teachers it is important to make sure you have some tools at your disposal. FOSIL is certainly one of them and knowing where to find the resources you need is essential but not enough on its own. Understanding how teachers plan lessons and knowing what questions you could ask are equally important. Here is the Initial inquiry planning form.
