The purpose of the FOSIL Group is to advance the view that children would be best served by an education in which they are taught how to learn by finding out for themselves.

In order to do this we will need a deeper understanding of what inquiry is and how inquiry works, as well as the collaborative effort that it takes to design and support inquiries that enable meaningful learning.

In this spirit, the FOSIL Group website both encourages and reflects this emerging understanding.
