Hello Alyssa,
I understand the struggle that you are getting at in your post. My thoughts on this at the moment are that a group context is not so useful. In my context I need to invite a teacher to collaborate and let them know in advance that I will be approaching the unit by using the FOSIL Framework. Through our conversations and work together we will each deepen our understanding of how to collaborate around the use of the FOSIL Framework. As well as develop our understanding of teaching specific Approaches to Learning Skills and Skill Strategies.
If your teachers are approaching this from a Action Research context, then sharing Teaching Inquiry as Conversation, https://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/teaching-inquiry-as-conversation-9798216194705/ by Darryl Toerien and Barbara Stripling would be useful. I can confirm that it will be useful for deepening their understanding and ability to use the FOSIL Framework. I am in the process of reading it at the moment.
Kind regards,
Matthew Rose
