Barbara Stripling and Darryl Toerien have been invited by David Loertscher from the School of Information at San José State University to deliver a keynote presentation at Leap into the Future of School Libraries No. 2, which will be held at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel, St. Louis, Missouri, on Wednesday 15 October 2025. This is a pre-conference event to AASL 2025.
This event is sponsored by the Editorial Board of Learning Hub, the professional journal of SJSU’s School of Information, and is free to attend.
The focus of the keynote will be our book for Bloomsbury Libraries Unlimited — Teaching Inquiry as Conversation: Bringing Wonder to Life — which is due to be published in 2026, hopefully in time for ALA 2026 in Chicago, Illinois.
Barbara, Jenny Toerien and I were honoured to present Engaging and Empowering Learners for Life through Inquiry / Developing Inquiry-Based Schools & School Libraries (PPT download) at Leap into the Future of School Libraries No. 1 (which includes a free eBook of conference proceedings — note that Elizabeth Hutchinson also presented).
